MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and is coordinated entirely by mothers with young children (Birth-Kindergarten). Queen Anne MOPS is a part of First Free Methodist Church, but the group is welcoming to all women from any or no faith perspective. MOPS desires to create space where women can be honest, feel equipped, and find their identity by journeying alongside one another.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After dropping off your kids (Birth-Kindergarten) at a safe and fun program called MOPS Kids, head to the MOPS meeting to grab some coffee, find your table group, and relax. Meetings include breakfast, a speaker, and conversation with your table group. Meetings might also include “get to know you” activities, DIY and service projects, and special celebrations. When the morning is over, pick up your kids and continue on with your day, hopefully feeling cared for, refreshed, and a little less overwhelmed.
Topics can include anything from home organization, to Kindergarten readiness, to self care, marriage, family safety, sexual intimacy, coping with depression/anxiety, and more.
CONNECT WITH A COMMUNITY OF MOTHERS
Meetings happen twice a month on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 am. Feel free to drop your kids off at MOPS Kids at 9:15 am. The 2020-21 MOPS fee is $150. That averages out to $10 per meeting. Some scholarships are available, please contact us if you have any questions. In addition to the fee, everyone will participate with their table to provide breakfast 2-3 times during the year.
