We are a part of the Free Methodist denomination and are committed to loving people, connecting them to Jesus, and serving the world. In addition, we strive to practice the following characteristics as a community:
We want to be a place where people can come as they are and speak honestly about their struggles in becoming more like Jesus.
“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” -Ephesians 4:25
TEACH ONE ANOTHER TO FOLLOW JESUS
All ages teach one another to follow Jesus at FFMC. Together, we study God’s word, worship, and seek to grow more mature in Christ.
“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” -Colossians 1:28
We seek to lift our heads up from day-to-day tasks and connect with our neighbors and co-workers. Our hope is for you to find belonging here, too.
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” -Hebrews 13:2
INVITE PEOPLE TO FOLLOW JESUS
Jesus urges us to take the gospel to every person throughout the world and to make disciples of all nations. We do so out of love and gratitude for what Christ has done for us.
“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” -1 Timothy 2:3-4
We see a connection between how we love God and how we love others. As Jesus modeled for us, we aim to love people and act justly.
“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8
